The Ultimate Summer Holiday Adventure Kit List

 Guest post by Muddy Puddles

Here at Muddy Puddles, we are on a mission to connect growing explorers with nature by designing excellent quality, sustainable clothing that protects them in all weathers while being kind to our planet.

We love adventures in the great outdoors and love to encourage families to explore their local areas and further afield. We understand the importance of ensuring children are dressed appropriately for their adventures to help keep them comfortable and happy. We’ve put together a list of our top must-haves for the ultimate summer holiday adventure kit list.

A waterproof jacket or puddle suit

Using innovative technology and fabrics, we ensure every item is guaranteed to protect children, whatever the weather. For a summer adventure we recommend the EcoLight Jacketand EcoLight Puddle Suit which are unlined, lightweight and fully breathable to prevent hot, sticky children. They are super waterproof up to 10,000mm, designed for all day play in heavy rain and even pack into their own pocket so easy to carry with you.

Wellies

Every true explorer needs a good pair of wellies! Wherever your adventure takes you, wellies are super reliable and waterproof, meaning no soggy, wet feet! Our PuddleStomperwellies are bright and fun and ideal for splashing in puddles, exploring rock pools and stomping through the mud. They have soft padded insoles for extra comfort and the cleated, grippy soles help to prevent slipping in the mud.

UV Swimwear

It’s summer after all and what adventurer doesn’t love a rewarding paddle in the river or the sea? At Muddy Puddles, all our swimwear is made of UPF 50+ fabric, the highest UPF rating, which blocks out 98% of the sun’s harmful rays, ensuring children are kept safe in the sun. Choose from our rash vests, swim shorts, swimsuits and even our waterproof robe and towelling ponchos to throw on after a refreshing dip.

Sun hat, sunglasses and suncream

Hats and sunglasses will help cover up more of the sensitive areas and are essential for summer adventures. Look for UV protective hats and a velcro strap will help them to stay in place. Remember to bring plenty of sun cream too.

Snacks

You can never have too many snacks! With all that exploring, children are sure to build up an appetite quickly and it’s good to have snacks on hand. Picnics are a great way to soak up the views while replenishing energy levels.

Enjoy all your summer adventures!
